yay.since the lectures are already over today for me, i have TONS of time to do all the things i want. i.e, practice,practice,play games,go out,shopping,chilling and stuff.

Japan trip's coming right up and its time for me to devote some time to embellish my playing style and hit all the correct notes and times. Big Band Showcase is a horror! as a perc my grasp of the triplet swing is worse than clarinets! gah.another thing to look forward to is the MJC perc t-shirt which will be designed by the glamourous regina and exclusively to MJC Symphonic Band perc and double bass haha (: then there's the sweater for everyone else too :D anyway my secret has been blurted out to people who shouldn't know.im so embarrassed.miss sia please don't make me play the big wooden thingy before SYF.i still wanna play with my sticks.

Jammed at Lcube today which was somewhere in Chinatown, ulu place. Met fakrin and shawn who are the new band mates and chris who is the resident guitarist.i must say,shawn is talented for a 16 year old boy.he was playing Iron Maiden's Trooper, 2 Minutes to Midnight and Deep Purple's Burn without any problems.wayyyyyyyyyy cool man.i didn't do too bad myself i guess.90% of Burn's rolls are conquered by me hoho.

got my bass strings,but unfortunately i bought the wrong ones as specified by my maestro friend manson.ughh.$26 gone ): went to check out the DW 5002 Accelerator pedals too.my they were EXTRAVAGANT. $785 FOR THEM!! i could never amass so much money.ahh.furthermore,i found to my surprise that Vic Firth makes different sticks from then and now.my Dave Weckl Signature sticks circa 1990s compared to the new Signature sticks had increased wax,more weight and bounce.why oh why.it'll change my playing style.okay stop lamenting.

an interesting discovery here.i think band's really fun when you know how to play your parts exactly.and when you don't.it just sucks.not because the conductor will scold you,but its like failing your own responsibilities.so yeah.in for a FUN time for band prac tomorrow.woohoo.
